A few days ago, some users of new Google Pixel 2 smartphone had complained that there is a strange sound of clicking and ticking is coming from their phone while they are on call. This sound was also of high-frequency pitch. In this regard, Google has now decided to provide an update so as to resolve the issue.
As a matter of fact, the company has already started investigating this issue. The Community Manager at Google Mr. Orrin has already said that the company is investigating this issue of low-frequency ticking or clicking noise appearing in small number of Pixel 2 phones. However, he reiterated that this clicking noise does not actually affect the performance of the phone beyond the audible noise.

So, this confirmation from Orrin has ensured the users that this issue will not arise in case of all the users, and even when it is there, it will not be affecting the performance of the phone in any way.
Moreover, he has also suggested a quick alternative solution to this problem, which is about turning off the NFC. Unfortunately, there is still no information concerning when this problem will be officially fixed and when the new update will be rolled out for the affected Pixel 2 devices.
