Few years back, nobody can use any browser on iOS except Safari. Later iOS launched other browsers, but, the rest of the browsers were not allowed to use their rendering engine on iOS. For this reason, other browsers used built-in webcut and use the same rendering engine that Safari used.
Also, Google has kept Google Chrome iOS version code separate for Chromium Open Source project. Through Chromium Open Source Project, developers compile others operating system on which the Chrome runs.
From the past few years, Google has worked on Chrome, after which, Chromium supports rendering engine for both WebCut and Blink.
Now developers can compile Chromium iOS version just like other operating system.
Google is saying that this development is now very rapid.
