Gionee is the Chinese manufacturer famous for introducing high-tech and smartly designed handsets that give greater value at a low price. Previously, the company introduced the high-end S8 and now adding more spice to its product line it has recently launched Gionee S6 Pro and P7 Max.
Though you might not be familiar with standard model which was rebranded under the brand name BLU in west, Gionee S6 Pro is very similar to its sibling except 90% metal finish. Most importantly, the upgraded version is priced under the same range of $300.
Spec-wise, it has 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 display running on premium Helio P10 SoC humming at 1.8 GHz. Inside is 4GB RAM and 64 GB of internal memory which can be expandable with secondary hybrid slot for nano-SIM. So you can have additional memory and dual-SIM capacity but not at the same time.
In camera department, the Gionee S6 Pro has 13MP rear camera and 8MP front facer. The rest of the specs include USB Type-C while software-wise, it boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Gionee’s home brewed Amigo OS 3.2 UI on top. Gionee S6 Pro has 3130 mAh juicer to keep the handset alive.
The P7 Max, on the other hand, comes at modest cost with same display but a lower resolution of 720 x 1280 5.5-inch. It has 3 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front facer. The software and battery capacity are almost same. There is no word on when these two handsets will hit the market.
