Niantic arranged first in-person show for the gammers ‘Pokemon Go Fest’ which didn’t go as thought of. Although, it attracted a lot of community of gamers and fandom but technical glitches were quite destroying. It’s being said that 20,000 fans attended Chicago Grant Park fest which had promised team challenges, trainers to catch variety of Pokemon, special rewards, unlock medals and above all to meet and greet the community of Pokemon Go from all around the globe.
Limited reception at cells and server issues caused the plague to the event as most of the users weren’t able to play the game. Most of them even weren’t able to login and the ones able to get inside, reported game crashing every few seconds.
To amend the damage, Niantic started refunding the tickets, $100 PokeCoins, Lugia addition to gamer’s account and few other things. However, the disgruntled audience and the news reporters by large considering the event a failed attempt.
