The availability of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge might limit due to the low supply of curved glass display by Corning. Samsung partners with Corning for its curved glasses in the current flagship production.
It is reported that Samsung aimed to ship 8 million to 8.5 million curved screen units this quarter but due to low yield this will limit the company to supply 6.5 units. Samsung is also looking for new suppliers to cop up with the issue. The complete component cost $25.
It is not a surprise that Sammy is striving hard to increase the production of S6 Edge as the flagship has been granted the title of “Best new handset at MWC 2015”.
