Qualcomm has offered a taste of the performance of its latest Snapdragon 845 SoC before smartphone powered by this chipset approach the markets. This performance test was carried out through the Qualcomm Reference Design Platform.
This new chipset will have CPU core designs on the basis of Cortex-A75 and A55. There will be four of each core designs in case of Snapdragon 845. However, this time they will not be split into two different clusters.
Moreover, this is going to be the first SoC to have supported the DynamIQ, which will actually allow the finer frequency control and voltage.
Tests show that Snapdragon 845 will be having major improvements in case of the floating point and integer tasks. This chip will be built on the 10nm LPP process, which will actually permit the slightly higher clock speed for same usage of power in the real world different between the two SoCs, i.e. S835 and S845.
