Asus is looking to launch Tango enabled handset featuring AR this CES 2017 in Las Vegas. Asustek CEO Jerry Shen mentioned for Korean Publication Digitimes.
The smartphone called Zenfone AR powered by Google’s augmented reality at “competitive price”, as per Shen. The platform deploys sensors with advanced motion trackers and depth perception capabilities for better 3D mapping experience.
The handset will be like Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, but it will have 4GB RAM and 2K resolution.
Moreover, the Asustek’s VR headsets will “differentiate from models available on the market such as HTC Vive or Oculus Rift,” said Shen, without giving further details.
