It has been reported that Apple is currently working on the production of premium over the ear, active noise-cancelling wireless headphones. The expected launch date is the end of this year. The famous analyst of KGI Securities Ming-Chi-Kuo was the first person to reveal it, which was confirmed by Bloomberg later on.

Furthermore, Bloomberg sources reported that Apple has been working on this product for more than a year on on-again-off-again basis. There have already been multiple revisions into which this product has undergone, and it is expected that the product will be redesigned before it is launched formally. It is also probable that the company might scrap it altogether.

As far as the revealed specs are concerned, the company will be featuring the similar seamless pairing process which was introduced in Apple AirPods and that is due to custom SoC designed by Apple which powered those pods. There might also be the update version of the W1 SoC that was previously put inside the AirPods as well as a few models of wireless beats, e.g. Studio3 Wireless.
