Berlin, Alcatel has recently introduced a low-priced One Touch Pixi First smartphone with a 4-inch display. It could possibly be the entry level smartphone for the first time buyers which claims to no to waste your savings. The gadget is packed in 9.7mm thick making it clearly slim in its competition.

Not everyone will be swayed by the heavy branding of the Pixi on the phone but some will surely be attracted by the metallic-effect colors which include grey, silver, gold and pink.

Camera-wise, from the rear it will pack 5MP camera and in the front it holds 2MP snapper. Though the sensors do not have high resolution and you will not capture award-winning photos but it may serve for capturing the moment on a night out.

On the processor side the Pixi First is packing a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and can easily process 3G data. However, it is a disappointment that there is no 4G on board, but Alcatel promise to deliver 300 hours of standby time and 7 hours of talk time before the First goes out of charger.

The Pixi has given no hint on price but it is expected to be the cheapest smartphone with given specs so far.
