HMD Global, the parent of Nokia brand now, started off this year with the release of Nokia 6 (2018), which was released on 5th January. However, HMD remained quiet in the previous week’s CES event. However, it does seem that the company has been planning something bigger to reveal in the upcoming MWC event. This was also said by JuhoSarvikas, Nokia’s veteran, who tweeted ‘Sorry for radio silence. Been super busy planning #MWC2018. Please expect it to be awesome’.
Coming from Sarvikas, this is huge news for Nokia and the fans of this brand, as he was also the leader in development of nostalgic Nokia E66. So, he is not going to simply slip his tongue, but he still cannot stop us from simple guesses too.
Undoubtedly, fingers are already crossed for Nokia 9, which is going to be the quad-camera flagship. However, we would also love to see some other mid-range to low-end phones, e.g. revival of Asha line or the Nokia 1 featuring Android Go.
So, let us just wait for the MWC 2018 and see for ourselves what Nokia has for us in the stores!
