As per leak out of China, The Huawei Mate 9 is going to be gem of a phone. The device is expected to release by the end of this year, sporting Kirin 960 SoC. The chipset is based on 16nm process, featuring octa-core CPU with Cortex A73 cores. Camera-wise, it has 20MP rear camera with dual setup. These snappers have OIS and feature Color and Black and White Mode.

A teaser on Weibo has recently emerged while teasing Mate 9 with a picture of Mate 8 on it, so we can quickly eliminate it as being fake.

However, what we can’t dismiss is the specs mentioned earlier. Analyst Pan Juitang has also called a device dubbed Mate 9 to launch in December in April, while purporting that it will have a 20MP set of dual cameras at rear. So once we put what Weibo has said aside, we can easily assume the launch coming this fall.
