Zong will establish 3000 4G and 5,500 3G Cell sites in Pakistan by the year end; this has been revealed by Mr. Liu Dianfeng, Chairman and CEO of Zong, during an exclusive interview held during recently conducted training session for PTA officials at Zong Headquarters in Islamabad.According to him, Zong has installed 500 4G cell sites in Pakistan and 3700 cell sites are now 3G enabled.

He further added that though there is a lot of potential for 4G spectrum yet LTE enabled handsets are low in numbers. Still we have confidence that it will expand as we expand.
He also said that there is great potential for data services in Pakistan as the fixed line service is unable to fulfill market’s demand. For this reason Zong customer will see dongle and wingle products in near future. Mr. Liu also revealed that they are in process on taking on on-board popular internet companies or getting them hosted on Zong’s tele-host to ensure smooth end-to-end connectivity and quality of service.
