A per rumored by various sources that after the ban of YouTube in Pakistan, authorities were demanding a more localized version to obliterate the scope of blasphemous act as previously broadcasted on global version. YouTube has thus come up with an interesting development with YouTube PK written on the website now. Which means we will now get the more localized version instead of default global version Pakistanis used to open a few days back.This will be the logo from now onwards.

Moreover, it is important to note that it is not Pakistan Specific rather some other countries have also gotten the similar localized version. Unlike Google, YouTube has recently started showing this YouTube PK version if you open it.

Since YouTube has made a very tactical move if see this in the light of ban that has been imposed on it. The Government might re-consider the lifting on the ban or either will not reinforce it as before. It would be however, worth noting that YouTube is not blocking any content, so everything that accessible internationally is accessible via this localized site.

YouTube was officially banned in Pakistan since September, 2012. The court also says that as no content has been removed, the ban will not be lifted and YouTube won’t be made accessible as it was previously by mistake.

Despite all the ban, the website is still experiencing immense traffic from the Pakistani market.
