Instagram is one of the most popular platforms with over 600 million users rocking it which is exclusively for iOS and Android users. Low bandwidth plans or limited storage to store and update data in an app was an issue which has led Instagram to bring forward an update making the mobile site as functional as the mobile app.
Main Attraction of this update is the ability to upload pictures on the mobile site. For that, user can post photos by opening phone just like on mobile. The new update also features stripped-down Instagram’s Explore version which suggests accounts on the basis of their browsing habits.
Mobile site was limited to checking notifications, browsing and for little bit of interactions i.e. to like a post or to follow a user. New update still has some limitations like browser version can’t upload a video, also user can’t apply Facebook photo filters.
