WhatsApp has remained free of ads for a long period of time, and now it has decided to monetize its users by bringing the ads in it. The app is currently owned by Facebook, and it is now going to introduce a separate business app too.

According to the CEO of WhatsApp, the company intends to charge the businesses in near future, but the monetization details and plans have still not been figured out.

It is viewed that several businesses around the world use WhatsApp for connecting with the customers and sharing information. Hence, a separate business app will be developed especially for small as well as medium sized enterprises, whereas the needs and wishes of large businesses will also be taken into consideration.

Moreover, the conversations with the businesses will be totally encrypted and the businesses will only be able to contact customers when they have first received the message from the customers.
