Messages on Whatsapp groups and social media where number of users are hinting that the call feature has started working since Thursday morning.

Whatsapp Voice and Video Calls Service Unblocked in UAE

The voice and video call service working for both Wifi and mobile data. However UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) told that there isn’t any change in Voice over Internet Protocol Policy in UAE. Any voice or video call applications or services have to comply by the regulatory framework.

Prior to that, TRA stated, ‘”VoIP services are still a prerogative of the licensed providers who reserve the right to provide such services through their networks. Companies wishing to offer such services must co-ordinate with the licensed telecom providers in the UAE”.
