Ufone has abandoned its old no data tariff policy on WhatsApp calls. Now WhatsApp calls will be charged with regular data tariffs. The new policy is PKR. 20 for 1^st MB with 19MBs free afterwards. Regular usage of data will be charged in accordance with bundle volumes as per routine. The new policy is effective immediately.

Ufone will now charge for WhatsApp Calls

WhatsApp calls with good quality has turned out to be a biggest challenge for Pakistani Telecoms. As a developing market the voice revenues play a major role and have major share in overall revenues of the Telecoms.

The WhatsApp call is the most frequently happening on 3G Networks that is why Ufone has decided to charge as per regular data tariff instead of bucket volume.
