The new LG V30 is about to hit the stores in a few days first in South Korea and then other parts of the world. This is the flagship smartphone from V series of LG, and the best feature in it is the FullVision OLED display.
The new and advanced display being introduced in LG V30 is directly competing with what Samsung has introduced in its flagship Galaxy Note 8, i.e. Super AMOLED display. So, what is the basic technical difference between the two? – Let’s find that out!
The AMOLED is basically one particular implementation of OLED technology. AM in it basically means Active Matrix. AMOLED is more power efficient as compared to LCD and OLED displays. On the other hand, what LG uses is sort of P-OLED, where P stands for Plastic.
One common thing is that both LG and Samsung use plastic for their display panels. This is what then allows the curved edges to work on these phones.
So, why LG does not call its display AMOLED when both have almost similar displays! The answer to this assertion is still not possible though. However, both have different panels vis-à-vis components, RGB pixels, etc.
Hence, for finding out more technical differences between these two, watch out for full-fledged LG V30 v Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comparison soon on Mobile Phone Collection.
