The Sonim XP5 is Verizon’s First Ultra-rugged 4G LTE Basic Phone

Verizon has launched the Sonim XP5 that meets military spec 810G. So you can use this phone in extreme high and low temperatures, and it can also handle drops and shocks. With an IP69 certification rating, the device can be submerged in water to a depth of up to 6.5 feet for around 30-minutes, and it will remain intact.

Featuring a 2.4-inch display, The Sonim XP5 has a resolution of 240 x 320 and is powered by the Snapdragon 400 chipset with a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU and the Adreno 306 GPU. You get 1GB of RAM in addition to 4GB of native storage. With the help of dual front-facing speakers you can listen to conversations with ease even where flamboyant apparatus is running. For photography buffs there is a 5MP camera.

The device offers a 3-year warranty and you need to register the device if you want to activate the warranty and that must be done within 30-days of purchase. Depending on your own choice, you can get your hands on the Sonim XP5 for $14 a month over 24 months, or enjoy the complete retail price of $336.
