WhatsApp has recently added a new feature through which the users will be able to post text-based status to let their friends see their recent activity or feelings. Rather than sharing a video or posting the video, you will simply be able to type the text or paste a URL.

Moreover, you will also be able to add customizations to your status through selecting different colors as well as the background.

Originally, WhatsApp introduced the feature in which users were just able to post text-based status messages, which were appearing in front their names in contact lists of their friends. The status feature of WhatsApp has actually been copied from Instagram feature whereby stories were shared by friends through uploading an image or a video.

This new feature on WhatsApp has now come full circle, as users will be able to share their statuses with others in a completely different but comprehensive way.
