The Samsung has recent shown in a research published by Counterpoint losing market share in Q4, 2014 worldwide. Few analysts have now predicted the similar happening in Indian market, too.According to a market research report of Canalys, local budget brand Micromax has now been found leading the market with 22 % market share ahead of Samsung that is 20%. This brand has overtaken the South Korean company in almost all types of mobile phones last year.”This incredible performance is partly due to Micromax’s continuing appeal to mobile phone users upgrading to smart phones,” also the report stated. “Its flagship line of products has also very effectively targeted the US$150 to US$200 (INR9,000 to INR12,000) segment, with products such as the Canvas Nitro and Canvas Hue.”
Further the third and fourth positions have been taken by Indian companies namely Karbonn Mobiles and Lava. It has been also reported Indian market being the third largest of the World is also experiencing growth up to 90% in mobile phone industry.
