Samsung has finally announced and started the Exchange Program of Galaxy Note 7 in UK. It has been many weeks since the company has recalled Note 7 in the region. However, Sammy did delay the Exchanging to happen at official level. The company has already exchanged Galaxy Note 7s in US and soon the re-launch will also follow.
Recently, Sammy has officially announced that it will start Exchange Program in the region. Initially the company has decided to stop shipping and selling Note 7 from September 2, because of troubling battery in the aforementioned countries.
Customers participating in the Exchange Program will be ensured that they will get a safe replacement by entering their device’s IMEI number through a dedicated website.
On the top of this Sammy will soon roll out a software update that could stop the battery to charge beyond 60% saving the likely explosions especially in Europe. Conor Pierce, Vice President of IT & Mobile Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland, said.
“Our absolute priority is the safety of our customers – that’s why we are asking all Galaxy Note7 customers to act now and exchange today. We would like to apologize to our Note7 customers for not meeting the standard of product excellence that they have come to expect from Samsung and we sincerely thank them for their understanding and patience.”
