Samsung Galaxy S6 which have been selling like hot cakes in majority markets but is not performing the par in select countries as well. The story of Japan is similar as Samsung S6 is experiencing sluggish sales.
According to report from Japanese market research BCN, the S6 is now at 30th number in weekly sales ranking from April 27 till May 3. The Edge variant is at 26th rank. The reason being told for low sales is
the ever increasing demand of western products esp. Apple. In addition to this, recent disputes between Japan and South Korea (Samsung’s home country) have only added to the problem.
It’s worth mentioning that the flagships do not carry the Samsung logo in Japan, with the company opting to co-brand with local carriers instead.
