According to Wall Street Journal, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will launch in mid-August ahead of Apple’s launch of next iPhones which typically happens at the start of September.

Previously Galaxy Note 4 show was stolen by an iPhone6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September, when the smartphones not only went on sale ahead of Note 4 but also grabbed the market’s attention and consumer interest. That is why according to rough estimate, they are considered the best selling smartphones of year mid- 2014-2015. Launching earlier will help boosting the sales as the company’s recent performance has fallen short of expectations and it can’t take any chances with its H2 flagship.

Samsung has made no confirmation regarding the announcement. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to have a flat 5.67″ screen with no curved edges.
