One of the most obvious frustrations in modern-day life is the phone batteries, which last only for a day or two. Especially when a phone charger is out of reach from a person, it totally leaves him stranded.

However, such anxiety will no longer prevail, as scientists have now been able to develop a mobile phone that is battery-free and which is in turn powered by the radio waves. The prototype of the phone has been developed by the scientists of University of Washington.

The phone consumes about 2 to 3 microwatts of the energy and it is also able to pick up the modified radio waves.

Gone are the days when the people had to wait for their phone get charged in order to use it. The future will look forward to a light-weight phone getting charged in real-time by the radio waves. Such thing will be a revolution in mobile phone technology.
