  MPC Team

Last week, news related to OnePlus collecting data of users came into highlight after which OnePlus has promised to collect less of user data in future. The company collected the data analytics in order to fine tune the after sale support and its mobile software.

However, OnePlus make sure that the data wasn’t shared with any outside party but that’s something shocking for OnePlus users. Carl Pei, the CEO said in a blog post that the company policy related would change.

Some of the data being logged was under ‘a better overall user experience’ phrase in their OxygenOS. Also, user can opt to go to the phone’s settings. He can join the user experience program if he wants to.

Till the end of October, user would be asked if they want to join the user experience program. Details like MAC address, Wi Fi info, telephone numbers won’t be part of data collection at all in future.
