The Galaxy S6 Active has been on and off in rumor mill since the birth of the Galaxy S6 handset. The leaked specs and images have been making rounds but now there has been silence for quite a while which is broken by the recent listing on a website spotted by few sources.
It appeared to be a pop-up, showing the rugged version of flagship as a part of Samsung Plus program.
The platform in question is a community for loyal Sammy fans, set up by the company itself, as well as a means of distributing special offers and offering benefits to the most devoted users.
The table in which S6 Active was spotted and was immediately removed mentioned the device with a release date and point value, depending on how long you have owned it, before registering. Interestingly, the date of release shows it is April 10 but the enormous interest of people in S Flagship has caused this delay, according to speculations.
S6 Active is expected to carry same hardware as that of S6. It carries 5.1 QHD Super AMOLED display with 14nm Exynos 7420 Chipset. With 16MP rear camera and 5MP front facing the device is powered by a 3500mAh battery. Oddly, it will also have a microSD card slot.
There is no word on pricing and availability yet. However, it is expected to arrive on AT&T first but nothing is official up till now.
