LG just announced an “LG G6 Second Year Promise” program. It basically increases the limited warranty of the device from 1 year to 2 years. The program is just meant for the US market and includes all G6 smartphones bought from any mobile carrier or authorized retailer.

LG G6 has 1 extra year of warranty for free, just for lucky US buyers!

In order to benefit from it, you must also have registration on LG’s official website.

Those of you who purchase G6 before June 15, 2017 will need to register within 12 months and extend an evidence of purchase. You also need to provide your device’s IMEI/MEID and serial number. If you buy an LG G6 today, or later you can register within 90 days. You can register through a special LG web page.

Generally, smartphones offer 1 year limited warranties in the US. That is why it is a welcome move from LG, allowing buyers to enjoy an extra year of warranty for free.
