JerryRigEverthing tried to fire Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and same he did with iPhone 8 to see how it survives. He tried scratching the phone not just the screen but scratched home button but it stayed pretty cool. Then he tried back of the phone with his scratch tools but he was rather impressed with the back camera and overall glass preventing scratches till level 5, but the back and the front screen start getting scratches at level 6 and 7 same like iPhone 7.

From a user perspective, sides or the phone are as important as the front and the back of the phone. When JerryRigEverything scratched sides of the phone, he didn’t face any hard time.

Later he tried extreme heat for 10 seconds on the screen of the iPhone 8, IPS retina display screen became black but recovered from it as the screen cooled off. But he suggested not trying this at home.

Lastly, he did bend test and the phone survived amazingly unlike iPhone 7 which didn’t get good results.
