Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms with 800 million users currently. Out of these numbers, 500 million users use the app on daily basis. With that much of user base, Instagram understands the need of putting up safety checks.

Instagram launched comment and reporting features just recently which only allows user approved friends to comment on his or her posts.

To get to these new settings, go to the bottom right of the screen and tap on an icon. Then go to Menu and later to Comments option. On top of the given display of screen, user would see ‘Allow Comments From’ where he can choose group of people he wants to hear.

Along with Allow Comments from, there is ‘Block Comments From’ too so that user can block all those users irritating him.

Worry not; followers of the user won’t get any notification that their comments have been lockdown.
