Huawei has just unwrapped Mate S which is a smaller version of Ascend Mate7 with some smart features of its own.The Huawei Mate S has a 5.5-inch AMOLED display carrying FullHDresolution where screen color saturation is up to 105 percent. A better deal is 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 covering the display. With the Force touch sensor the Mate S also brings an improved Knuckle control sensor which first debuted with P8.
There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back.The device will run home-grown Kirin 935 chipset accompanying a dual quad-core processor humming at 2.2GHz. RAM capacity includes 3GB on board and internal storage for the base version is 32 GB and premium version comes with 64GB. The roomier 128GB is likely to get announced soon.
In camera department, MateS has 13MP BSI sensor with f/2.0 lens and a dual-LED flash. The camera also features OIS and has the capability to reduce shake up to1.2 degrees. Further, it has an 8MP front unit with an LED soft light.
The MateS dimensions are 149.8 x 75.3 x 7.2mm, while the thickness is2.65mm. It weighs 156g and is powered by 2,700mAh battery. The smartphone runs the second latest Android 5.1.1 with Huawei’s EMUI3.1 on top. Connectivityincludes Wi-Fi and GPS, NFC and FM receiver.
The Huawei Mate S will soon hit multiple markets around the globe later in September. Standard version will set you back for €649, while the Premium will cost €699.
