Huawei has the tradition to be affordable yet getting close to incorporating sound specs for every smartphone it manufactures. Especially the Ascend series has been warmly welcomed by the Asian markets due to its affordability and performance. While living in the mainstream of cheap technology providers, Huawei has managed to launch one after the other Ascend saga every year.
The Ascend G series has been quite under criticism due to its plastic body design and not very promising specs but what could you expect from a budgeted mid-ranger. However, Huawei still offers more than its competitor in mid-range category. As far as the plastic design in concerned, this is all what an affordable smartphone can offer.
Interesting, Huawei breaks this tradition this time in case of Ascend G7. Unlike its predecessors it has unibody metal design yet not as neat as many flagship devices but not far behind in terms of battery (non-removable) and storage option. A 32 microSD card slot also supports an adequate storage capacity.
It has a 5.5 inch display and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon with 1.2GHz Quad-core Cortex-A53 with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It has a 13MP rear camera with single LED flash and 5MP front facer.
