Huawei has done this and done this quietly and brilliantly. The launch of MediaPad M2, an 8-inch display slate, is carried out in Huawei pop-up boutique in Paris.
The all metal body tablet runs on 64-bit Kirin 930 chipset with 2GHz octa-core CPU, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable memory. Huawei Media Pad M2 further packs 8MP main camera and 2MP front-facing unit. It runs custom-based Android Lollipop and has Cat. 4 LTE support.
Dimensions include 7.8mm thickness and 310 gm in weight. It is powered by rather modest 4800mAh battery. It will be made available at the start of June and is priced at €349.
