Nearly when the Ocean Note rumor was much more prevalent we thought of, HTC invited people to look out for the day when it will launch. But it was the code name, codename of the device dubbed HTC U Ultra.

Recently an event in Taiwan (homeland) unveiled the handset with the name HTC U Ultra. However, it was not alone, it was a part of U series and another smartphone dubbed HTC U Play get announced by HTC at the event. 

As far as the specs of HTC U Ultra are concerned, we are not disappointed. It has flagship grade innards and externals with sapphire cover glass which is very rare but still non-exotic. This investment make surface of phone scratch free and pretty unbreakable. The device has 5.7-inch screen with a pixel resolution of 1440×2560 making the image sharper and brighter.

Further, HTC U Ultra comes with AI Assistant. There are many smartphones launched with the same facility these days, including the Honor Magic and Motorola’s latest.

Processor-wise, it has Snapdragon 821 SoC humming at 2.15GHz with industry leading 4GB RAM. Inside the memory is also 64GB ROM and sadly, there is chance of no expansion offer, which can make the offering a bit less lucrative.

Camera-wise, the device has 12MP rear camera, oddly not dual lens, but has PADF and sapphire glass lens that will enhance usage and results. The front facer has 16MP, which is wide and nice and interestingly greater than rear offering.

The beast gets its life from 3000mAh battery and will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat on board. The HTC U Ultra will cost you in US unlocked $749, while the shipping will begin from March.
