HMD Global will not go for “flash sale” to promote Nokia 6.

We have recently learned that Nokia 6 is out in China. Currently, the handset is solely for Chinese market and there is no news on global sale happening anytime soon. However, interestingly, HMD has kept the selling of Nokia 6 a very restricted matter, where, only a limited stock is made available against million registrations.

HMD Global will not go for “flash sale” to promote Nokia 6.

If we seek the general patterns, Chinese OEMs usually go for flash sales at the start of their offering. But HMD Global has not offered frequent selling call for Nokia 6. The reason being that company will not be able to keep up the stock with demand.

Each time Nokia 6 was made available for sale, it sold out in minutes, simple because company is unable to keep up with the demand. The good news is HMD is working to reconsider the numbers in production of Nokia 6 since the Chinese New Year holiday is almost over.

“Actually we have been updating the inventory on JD.com more than 3 times but those were usually gone within minutes or hours, so that’s why you have the impression that we were doing flash sales. We will keep supply to JD for sure and now the Chinese New Year holiday is mostly over and everybody’s back for work, you can expect more supplies in the coming days and weeks.”
