Google announced its flagship Pixel smartphone on October 4 last year. It seems that Google is not going to be late with this year’s Pixel 2 as well, as we have heard the final word from Google that Pixel 2 will release this year on October 5.
The leaks from Evan Blass suggest that the Google Pixel 2 will come with Snapdragon 836. If we believe this rumor to be true, then Google Pixel 2 will be the first smartphone to have come with the most powerful chipset.
The October-5 can however be another strategy of Google of keeping its flagship smartphone a secret and reveal it only after the release of all other competitors’ smartphones. This will be the time when Apple would already have started shipping iPhone 8. So Google should be wary, after all it’s Apple iPhone 8 that it is competing with.
