Launched back in June, Fairphone modular handset Fairphone 2 is now shipping all across Europe. The company also announced this in a blog post recently, “It’s been almost two years in the making, and some of the earliest buyers have been patiently waiting since July to receive their new phones, “stated Fairphone community manager Douwe.

The company will ship first 1000 units this month, and the remaining pre-bookings will be delivered in January 2016. “As community manager, I want to personally welcome the new batch of Fairphone owners to our community.”

As far as the specs are concerned, the device runs on a Snapdragon 801 chipset. It packs 5-inch screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The Fairphone2 comes with superfast 2GB RAM and an 8MP rear camera unit. Software-wise, it boots Android 5.1 Lollipop. Rest of the features and specs include 4G LTE connectivity, dual-SIM, and an expandable storage capacity.

Fairphone 2 is currently priced at €525, and is only available for purchase in European market.
