Archos has announced another smartphone ahead of IFA. This is also from the Diamond Brand just like the Diamond S. We can look at it as more of a phablet for the fact it is bridging the chasm between the 5-inch Diamond S and the Diamond Tab.The Archos Diamond Plus packs a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen.

Archos announces affordable 5.5-inch Diamond Plus

It runs on MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit SoC with a 1.5 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T720MP3 GPU with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage. In Camera department, it has a 16MP rear unit with LED flash and an 8 MP Selfie shooter. Rest of the specs include 4G LTE support, dual-SIM capability, and a powerful 2,800 mAh battery with super- fast charging.The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. Diamond Plus dimensions are 152.6 x 76.4 x 8.4 mm, and weighs 178g.

It will start selling in Europe in November, unlocked, with a suggested retail price of £179.99.
