The social media giant, Facebook, has achieved another milestone in the form of having 2 billion users just five years after hitting the 1 billion mark. Mark Zuckerberg, chief executive and cofounder of Facebook, posted on Facebook that it is officially a community of 2 billion people now.

Zuckerberg further said that it was an honor to be the chief executive of a community that houses 2 billion people in a single platform. By saying this, Zuckerberg really has been able to pull off a remarkable achievement by bringing together the whole world into a single platform.

Similarly, part of the reason behind Facebook’s success is the consistent upgradation of its features, which is something its social network rivals have lagged.

In this regard, Facebook’s initiative to partner with YouTube and other social media websites will be a bigger boost for itself as well as its competitors.
