Facebook released Oculus Go VR headset at Oculus Connect developer conference. It is a standalone VR headset and it doesn’t need phone or PC to get the user into VR.

Mark Zukerberg has hinted that Oculus Go would be out in early 2018. Also, it would be affordable i.e. of £150. The fabric design of Oculus Go would be ‘super lightweight’ with mesh fabric straps. Inner layers of the set would have foam to support the face.

Oculus Go would have LCD display with fast switching feature, next generation lens and 2569×1440 pixel resolution. It would have 3.5 mm headphone jack with built-in speakers having special audio.

Like Gear VR, it has 3 degrees single motion freedom controller. It will play binary compatible titles given in the Samsung Gear VR library. Developers kits would be shipped in November and the headset would be available early next year.
