Xiaomi Plans to Ship More than 100 million Smartphones this Year!

A report earlier this year stated that there has been a 5% decline in the Chinese smartphone market, wherein Oppo and Vivo have experienced a decline in double digits. A new source now has revealed that Chinese mobile phone manufacturing companies are now devising a very aggressive plan for selling most number of phones this year.

In this regard, in order to compensate for the declining local market, Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo and Vivo have planned to expand globally. Xiaomi itself has made effective plans for increasing the shipments, and it definitely has set the aim for shipping more than 100 million smartphone by the end of this year.

Reports have also revealed that Mi and Redmi manufacturers have been shipping more than 10 million phone every month in the first quarter of this year. In simple words, if this trend goes on, then the company will be able to ship 120-150 million devices by the end of this year. In comparison to that, Xiaomi was able to ship 90 million smartphones in the previous year.

In addition to that, Huawei had shipped 150 million phones in the previous year, from which 90 million phones were sold in China only. Huawei’s plan in 2018 is to reach 200m mark. On the other hand, Vivo and Oppo will be focusing on the economical segment of the market and will put more emphasis upon bigger screens, taller cameras and AI technology.
