Samsung Galaxy J8 has recently visited Geekbench but this time it makes its appearance with a different chipset. We reported a few weeks ago that this phone will be powered by Exynos 7870 SoC with the version name SM-J800FN. However, now it is known that it will be Snapdragon 625 SoC with the version name SM-J805G.

This might also be the plus variant of the phone, which will be called as Samsung Galaxy J8+, and which will feature a relatively faster SoC as well as higher memory. Both of these variants are however going to run on Android 8.0 Oreo OS.

Moreover, this J805G model will have 4 GB of RAM as compared to 3 GB installed earlier. Similarly, both of these chipsets will come with octa-core Cortex-A53 processor, which are however differently clocked, i.e. 1.8GHz in Galaxy J8+ as compared to 1.6GHz in Galaxy J8. The performance has however been regarded to be the same in both.

Moreover, it is suspected that the phone will come with a different storage option, as the price will be high. It now needs to be known whether the plain non-plus version come with Snapdragon SoC or not.
