Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia XZs Now Getting Android Oreo 8.0 Updates

Sony has started exhibiting Android Oreo 8.0 update for its two smartphones Xperia XZ and Xperia XZs. Both of these Sony smartphones were unveiled at IFA 2016 with Android Nougat 7.1 OS and they were expected to get the update of Android Oreo before the end of this year.

The Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia XZs is getting Android Oreo update as an over the air (OTA) firmware and currently its rolling out in phases. These smartphone holders can check its availability on the device by looking into the System updates option from the Settings menu. It’s recommended to back up your full data before starting the update process, and preferably use a Wi-Fi connection to download the update packet.

According to the report of XperiaBlog.net, the Android Oreo update provided by Sony has a build version of 41.3.A.0.401. This new update includes reminders that prompt you for undone tasks like emails in messages and draft, redesigned app shortcuts with long press access to activities and an enhanced Xperia Actions feature as well.
