Not just cool updates we hear from Google for its latest Pixel series and mobile apps but there is an exciting geofilter coding contest ‘Made with Code’ for which it’s teaming up with Snapchat. This would encourage teenagers to opt for computer science.
Teens in between the age of 13 to 18 years would be able to build their own Snapchatgeofilter with the help of a Google Blockly coding system designed for kids.
Winners would get a free trip to TEDWomen conference that’s happening in New Orleans along with Google and Snapchat mentoring sessions. Engineers of both of the companies would teach teens about how to create a Lens by using the AR filter on photos. And the 5 finalists Lenses would be judged and would be live in Snapchat app. Not just that, the finalists would be able to have private tours to Snapchat and Google offices in Los Angeles.
