It is expected that iPhone 8 UI might be like iPad in its edge to edge display. All of the rumors in the previous months pointed out to the fact that Apple is making changes in order to launch iPhone 8 big time and to celebrate the anniversary. This time, the rumors are suggesting that home button would be removed with a ‘notch’ which would be placed on camera and sensors of the phone on the top of the screen display.

Apple is searching for ways to replace the home button functionality in iPhone 8, confirmed by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. E.g. calling Siri, doing multitasking and going back to home screen.

Status bar of iPhone 8 would split into two halves and on sides of the notch. Left part of the notch will display time whereas right side would display battery life, Wi-Fi etc.
