PTA has announced Telenor as winner of Auction of 850MHz Spectrum. PTA has put 10MHz for auction from 850MHz spectrum with the base amount of 395million dollar against which only Telenor submitted its quotation.

With only one quotation received, PTA had the options to either cancel the auction or make some arrangements to attract more players in the quotation process.

Telenor wins 4G spectrum.

However, it has awarded the 3G and 4G Spectrum to Telenor on the bases price. There is press briefing expected from PTA and Ministry of information technology on this situation.

As per reports this briefing of PTA will formally announce the name of Telenor as 3G and 4G’s auction winner.
