Since its launch in December 2017, Xiaomi Redmi 5 has been available for sale either in 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage or 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Moreover, the phone was so far available in Chins.
Owing to the increased demand by the customers, Xiaomi has swiftly and silently released another variant of Redmi Note 5, which will come with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The phone is already available now from Chinese online store of Xiaomi.
The 1GB additional RAM will impact the change in price of the phone, which is CNY 200 or $31. This is quite a high and premium price charged by the company given that 4GB RAM mobile phones now cost about CNY 1,099, i.e. $173. However, it is also quite probable that some of the users might have preferred the better specs and this latest variant will definitely do the need.
