Currently Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile are planning to switch to 5G services but one US carrier is not taking any promising step to join the league. The Vice President of Sprint has been evaluating the 5G meanwhile saying that we are looking at it. He is of the view that Sprint has enough capacity in current network configuration to cover the needs of the customers.
Despite of increase in traffic up to 85% year-over-year, Sprint is prepping for advanced LTE optimization to control the ever increasing demand till 2020. It is relying on carrier aggregation and beam forming with former multiple spectrum channels to increase the capacity of pipeline.
Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, all has been testing G5 with various smartphone manufacturers. Sprint is the only carrier which also stayed away from 600MHz auction stating that low frequency waves penetrate more easily into the building keeping the signals strong.
