Sony has released two mid-range smartphones specifically for the Indian market today namely Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus. Both the phones are compact and budget-friendly devices and Sony claims that both have basically been designed for the Indian lifestyle. Another vague message from Sony is that these phones are designed to excite the new Indian.

Xperia R1 will come with 5.2-inch LCD display with 720 pixel resolution and will be powered by Snapdragon 430 SoC and 2GB RAM. It will have 16GB storage that will also be expandable. It will have 2,620mAh battery and will be running on Android Nougat. Its price will be INR 13,990, i.e. $215.

On the other hand, the Sony Xperia R1 Plus will almost be same as Xperia R1 with the addition of 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Its price will be INR 15,990, which will transform to $245.
