The Microsoft Lumia 940 and 940XL which has been consistently visiting the rumor mill. The next rumor in line is regarding their price. The devices are likely to be costlier than the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6.
The reason of high cost is the polycarbonate body of Microsoft flagships that will result in high price but interestingly most premium smartphones are made of metal which is even costlier than polycarbonate. Specs-wise, the report says that the Lumia 940 will have 5.2-inch screen and will be powered by a Snapdragon 808 SoC.Further it will pack 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable memory. In terms of camera, the device will feature a 20MP rear unit and a 5MP front shooter. There will also be an iris scanner.
While the Lumia 940XL will sport a 5.7 inch QuadD H(2560 × 1440) screen and is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset. Rest of its specs are said to be same as that of the Lumia 940, including the iris scanner.
Both handsets are expected to release in November.
